The internet has made lawyer advertising very easy and targeting the potential clients a lot easier. It also has made it easier for clients to find the lawyer for the problems they face. The rules and regulation are hard to govern over the internet because it is not easy to track all that data over the internet. Many of the lawyers use spamming which has led the suspension of many practicing lawyers. There are many rules and regulations about advertising which are regulated and governed by the government of a specific area, city, country or states in case of USA. In New York, there are some devices of marketing which are banned by the New York legal system. It includes any kind of endorsement through any previous client in the advertisement, any use of the legal documents or similar documents for ads, disclosing any payments paid, fictitious use of actors (portraying the lawyers, judges) in the ads, that we see in general marketing.
